Since 1973 Wheatley Estates has been a fully independent, family owned and run estate agency. We offer both sales and lettings services not only to the residents of Wheatley, Horspath and Garsington (and to those wishing to live in these lovely Oxfordshire locations), but also all across Oxfordshire (and sometimes beyond).
Operating from the heart of Wheatley’s busy High Street we have built a reputation for outstanding customer service and property expertise that means your home is in safe hands. Electric Car
As estate agents are often in the car and ‘popping’ between nearby appointments the cars we use are rarely very fuel efficient, barely able to get warmed up before stopping again. It seemed an ideal situation for an electric car. However, the one thing we didn’t want was for this change to compromise our ability to attend any and every appointment during our busy working day, we decided to buy a Vauxhall Ampera which ‘generally’ charges from our office supply (now mostly from solar) allowing us to carry out most of our appointments with the security of a petrol engine back-up if it runs out of electricity. Of course, the current range of electric cars can travel so much further than the previous generation so it would probably be a full electric for us next time!
Solar
A few years ago we took the decision to install solar panels on our south-facing rooftop at the rear of our office. We feel that as a responsible business will should take all reasonable steps to look after our environment, firstly locally and then on a larger scale. We used the (excellent) services of Oxford Solar PV to choose a suitable system and have found it seamlessly provides solar power all year round. Ideal for a business that uses most of its power during the day!
